Chef's Answer ~ The baking time is a good place to start. Bake the dog treats at least as long as the recommended baking time. Another way to determine if the dog treats are done is to take one off the baking sheet and break it in two. If it is still gooey or extra moist, it is probably not done. You can also test a treat by poking a toothpick into the center. If crumbs come out stuck to the toothpick, the treats aren't done. Bake the dog treats until a toothpick inserted in the center of a treat comes out clean.
