Is there a nut free alternative (such as soynut butter)?

For nut allergies. I was wondering if the same recipe can be used (successfully) with soy nuts.

Chef's Answer ~ That's a great question. I personally haven't made a nut free butter, but I did find this informative recipe on another site:

I highly recommend omitting the salt from the recipe. I would also personally omit or only add 1 TBSP of maple syrup. Plus, the optional ingredients should be just that, optional, and not added to your dog's soy nut butter.
