Thank you for this easy recipe. I don't roll and cut these, I just make one giant cookie and break it into pieces when it's cooled. So these are ready for the oven in less than 5 minutes. I keep them in the fridge and when Rocky is staring at the fridge door, I know why. He loves them.

I made a batch yesterday for Sam. I had bought other natural treats in the past, but they were too big for our beagle. I made them using a small metal cookie cutter that I had in the kitchen. Sam went crazy for them. I plan on making more for the family pets. He also loves Parmesan cheese, so I plan on adapting the recipe to see if this will make him happy too.
Thanks for the great Peanut Butter dog treat recipe.

My border collie and Newfie mix gobbled the first cookie up in seconds. By the second time I made them, they waited patiently at my feet, knowing exactly what I was making!
The only thing I didn't like is that they have bubbles in most of them. Other than that, Great dog treats! It doesn't look like I'll be running to the store for doggy treats anytime soon either!

My dogs (a collie and doxie) love these things.
Playing around with it, we've upped the peanut butter to a half cup, add 1 Tbsp honey, 1 tsp vanilla, and 1/2 cup applesauce. Add flour to keep consistency. Grab 1 inch blobs and place on baking sheet, then press them down flat using your fist and wax paper. We've even basted with 1 whipped egg for a real treat. We bake for 30 minutes, turn the oven off and let them simmer, which makes them crunchy. Last batch made 91 treats. Keep refrigerated in tight container and the dogs don't seem to mind them cool at all.
We've also taken brown bananas and used them instead of the sweeteners here. Do the dogs mind? NO
Using quick math, our first batch was made with ingredients we already had, which sounds free. But if you do the math, these are less than a nickel a piece, compare that to the high price brands in the stores, filled with preservatives.

I love this recipe. It was very easy for me. I have a lot of experience baking so this was a breeze. I added just a little shredded cheese and diced bacon to this and all the dogs LOVE it. I tried giving them a biscuit from their treat jar that they normally like, but they refuse to eat it haha.. they only like the ones I make now.
Chef's Comments ~ I'm so glad you like the recipe and have made additions. That's what baking for our dogs is all about, having fun and making treats they'll love. Thanks for letting me know that your dogs have "voted" to keep you busy in the kitchen making them homemade dog treats! :)

My owners made this recipe for my birthday for me and my sister(Lady) and I love them! We got over 120 small size biscuits. Our owners cooked them for twenty minutes(because they were our size) and they turned out amazing!! Another thing they added was a bit more flour (less than 1/4 cup. All in all, Great Job!!

p.s. Zarina and Lady (me and my sister) licked our chops and were begging for more!

I really appreciate your web site. I have made this recipe along with several others, including the tuna fish and the cheese biscuit. My dogs love the treats and I have stopped buying treats at the store. I have a cocker spaniel and a lab/border collie mix. Thank you for all the information that is posted. Keep up the good job.

We have 3 dogs: an Aussie, Yorkie, and a Heeler mix. They all 3 loved these dog cookies.
Our Yorkie is sensitive to most dog treats, so I was leery about her being able to eat these and not throw them back up. She has not had a problem with them so far.
I am about to bake another batch for them. I don't think we will be going back to store bought dog treats.

Well, this is the easiest cookie recipe ever! I have made several batches of this, both with and without wheat flour (oat flour is my preferred alternative). My dog sits in the kitchen waiting for them to come out of the oven! Many of our doggy friends got some of these cookies for the holiday, and they shipped well, too.
The recipe doubles very well, I discovered since I was making so many.
I like the look of the cookies by using the alternate method of rolling them into balls and using a fork to press them down. They really look like people cookies then.
Of course, now, whenever I open the jar of peanut butter my dog is very hopeful!

This is a great and easy recipe! My dog loves peanut butter, so I felt sure she would like the treats I made, but I was so surprised at her reaction. I held one out to her, she gave a very short sniff and then suddenly grabbed it out of my fingers and gobbled it up on the spot! Thank you very much for sharing this recipe with us. It makes me feel good knowing exactly what is in her treats. I'm looking forward to trying out some of the other recipes!

We live in China so healthy good quality dog biscuits are nearly impossible to come by. We made this recipe and we're hooked! My pups love them and my daughter and I have fun making them as an after school baking project. Thanks for the easy simple recipe!

I made these treats for my rat terrier and jack/rat terrier. They LOVED them! The one thing I did slightly differently, though, was I made them the size of dog food so they could eat them faster so I could use them for training. Great recipe - so easy to make and my dogs loved them!

My dane and pitty refused to eat the first batch by the book, second one I did the egg wash still a no, so I had an idea.
Triple the peanut butter, added half a cup chopped dried cranberries, a heaping table spoon of local made wildflower honey and of course a bit more flour. My egg wash was a mix of honey and egg for a shiny sweet coating. They want to eat them all up now. Also I cooked them at 350 for only 20-25 min.

These snacks were without a doubt the simplest
to make, and my two Yorkies are still begging for more.
I will be making these treats as gifts for my family and friends and looking forward to trying the other recipes as well. Thank you and Bow Wow from Blair and Beau!

My Australian Shepherd, Reesie (after the candy!), is crazy about peanut butter, so these are her favorite treats!
And I love them, too - they're the easiest recipe I've ever made for her, and they store so well - we can keep them in the freezer for months, although they never last that long! Two paws up!

I have made this recipe many times for my two black labs and they love it. I make double batches, save a small bag for instant eating and put the rest in the freezer. They are wonderful thawed too. Thanks!

I've been making these for some time now - I HATE to bake and these are so super easy. I just throw everything into my kitchen-aide and turn it on, viola!
I just make them round and my golden (Goliath) knows these are "his" cookies - he LOVES them.
And I love knowing what's in the treat I'm giving my furry friend. Thank you so much for this recipe!

All three of my Boston's LOVED these. They were so easy to make and I feel like they are eating so healthy.
My son even ate one and said with sugar they would be really good!! :)
First time I've ever thought about 'making' dog treats! So glad I did. And did them exactly like the recipe. Added a touch more water and baked them in 1/4 inch or so pieces. Then got tired of cutting, and put three HUGE pieces on the cookie sheet. Breaking them apart is easy and the dogs just loved them!
Comments for Easy Peasy GREAT puppy biscuits!!

Our Shih Tzu devours these biscuits. We like the fact that we know ever ingredient is healthy.
The ones we used to buy were healthy but it was a hit and miss whether they had them in stock.
We freeze them uncooked and make them up as needed so Keaton always has fresh biscuits. Thank you for the recipe.

This was the first time that I've ever made homemade treats for our dog.
I was worried because he has allergies, but he wasn't allergic to any of these 3 ingredients, so we made the treats for him. HE LOVES THEM!
I even tried to conduct an experiment where I laid down a homemade treat and a Dingo bone (his favorite), and every time he chooses the homemade treat over the Dingo. It's a hit with our dog, and they are so easy to make. Thanks for sharing this invaluable dog treat recipe!

My 6 and a half month old corgi devoured these.
I even had to put her in another room so she couldn't jump for the pan. The only change I made was that instead of using water I made it with beef broth as beef treats are a favorite of hers.

My daughter's greyhound enjoyed these a lot. Little did I know when I made them that peanut butter is one of his favorite foods!
I used a cat cookie cutter that I had and my husband drew a dog bone template for me out of cardboard. I made one half the recipe and ended up with 7 good size cookies. I'll definitely make again.

My dog literally went bonkers for these dog treats. I have never gotten this reaction feeding her the store bought variety -- even bacon flavored ones.
They were mindlessly easy to put together. I didn't have a cookie cutter, so I rolled them like normal peanut butter cookies. I fit almost an entire batch on a single tray because they do not rise at all.
We'll be baking these regularly for sure! Next time I think I'll bump up the peanut butter content to 1/2 a cup. My dog sends a million thanks for such a great recipe!

Tried these for my year old female Husky named Indy, because the sugar in store bought treats makes her super hyper!
She loved them and she is a fussy eater, still haven't been able to find a dog food she likes!
She apparently didn't want to wait for them to cook because I turned my back for one second and she stole three uncooked dough balls off the counter!
Thanks for the great recipe!

These turned out great! The only thing I changed was I used whole grain old fashioned oats and ground them up in a blender before adding to the mix. I doubled the recipe and using a dog bone shaped cookie cutter I had enough small dog biscuit sized treats to almost fill a gallon size zip lock bag.

My Westie Murphy has food allergies. Substituted rice flour and he's loving them.
Sure beats paying $7.00 for a 12 oz bag of cookies!! Trying to talk him in to sharing some with his buddies for Christmas! Thanks so very much!

Well, my dogs really liked it but I think my grandma's dog Precious liked them even more.
We made them in the shape of hearts (little ones for my Chihuahuas and big ones for our grandma's Basset Hound) They were "I got a bath and deserve a treat" treats for Precious.
Our littler ones got them for well.....Being cute and spoiled! But the point is.....Our dogs LOVED them!
Ohh, yeah Wittle Man and Dippy would like to say thank you!

My 10 year old basset hound, Star loves then. Really the easiest recipe I have ever made. We made up packets to give all of our canine friends for Christmas, ingredients included. I really felt that even the most fussy small breed would like them. Smelled good while baking too.

This is like doggie crack.. I added 1/3 cup more peanut butter and she goes crazy over them. She sits next to the oven while they are cooling and barks.

I'm a dog walker, and I prefer making my own treats to purchasing packaged ones that are full of chemicals.
My dogs LOVED them. Out of twenty or so dogs who I've given them to, only one has turned up his nose, and he is an EXTREMELY picky eater (the only treats he ever eats are beef).
The rest of them scarfed them down, asked for more, and started expecting one at the end of every walk! The best part is, they're healthy! HIGHLY recommended!

After already baking several batches of people cookies, I knew I wouldn't have the patience to roll this sticky, heavy dough.
Simply scooped & rolled into 1-Tbsp balls, then flattened with a fork as the recipe suggested and doing so with the scraps, and it worked great!
