Drove Ginger CRAZY
by: Donna

Stickiest dough I ever worked with. I wanted a small training treat, so I dropped these in globs with a small melon baller. Baked for about 15 minutes...Ginger is my rescue dog with very poor eating habits. I gave her 1 when the first tray finished...she wouldn't leave the kitchen!! Even tried to swipe one as they were cooling on the table. I hate liver, but I think this is a do-again.

Chef's Comment ~ If you make this recipe again, I would highly recommend rolling the dough between two pieces of parchment paper. And/or you can always add more flour to your dough before rolling it out. This should help cut down on it being too sticky. I'm glad that Ginger liked the treats. :)

Louey loves these liver biscuits

by Patty
(Silver Spring, MD)

I have a very picky french bulldog, Louey. He hates food in general.

However, when he smells these cooking he transforms into a different dog. Its the only food he has every begged for.

I am a vegetarian and hate touching the liver but my little guy is worth it.

She loved these dog treats

I cook them for a little shorter time so they weren't so hard and she liked the softer ones better.

Can I substitute the rice flour with wheat flour in this dog treat?

by Iris
(Florida)

I haven't made these yet but I have a ton of wheat flour to be used. Would I be able to substitute the rice flour with wheat?

Chef's Answer ~ Yes, you can very successfully substitute the rice flour for wheat flour. Also, if you don't have oat flour you can replace it too with wheat flour. So, you should use 2 1/2 cups of whole wheat flour instead of the rice and oat flour.

If the dough seems really dry you can add one tablespoon of water and that should help you stir everything together.

I hope this helps. Happy Dog Treat Baking! :)
