I plan on making this recipe with a few modifications for a dog with some allergies. He cannot have eggs. What do you suggest as a replacement?
He cannot have rice, potato, brewers yeast and beat pulp. I may also need to use chia and quinoa flour.
Chef's Answer ~ You can substitute eggs for one of the following: 1/2 of a banana, 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce or 1 Tablespoon of ground flax mixed with 3 Tablespoons of warm water. Let the flax mixture sit for 5 minutes, stir, and then add when the recipe calls for the egg.
I would recommend substituting the brown rice flour and tapioca flour for 1 1/4 cups quinoa flour, 1/2 cup chia seed flour and 1/4 cup tapioca flour (also called tapioca starch).
