Pumpkin Pops

by Joanne
(Wheeling, IL)

I could not find a 1 oz pkg of instant vanilla pudding. Is 1 oz the correct amount to use or should it be a 3 oz package? I made this recipe trying to reduce the amount of pudding mix and it came out okay. Just want to be sure I have the correct measures.
Thank you.

Chef's Answer ~ Yes, 1 oz is the correct amount of instant pudding mix to use. If you can only find the mix in large quantities, you can use 2 Tablespoons of dry pudding mix to equal 1 oz. It's not an exact ounce, but it is close enough to help you make this recipe.

Pumpkin pop question

The instant pudding mix I bought is a 3.4 oz package, not a 1 oz package. Would I just use 1/3 of the pudding mix - or triple the milk, spice & pumpkin?

Do you know for sure there is a natural pudding mix sold in a 1 oz package?

Chef's Answer ~ To equal a dry one ounce measurement from your larger package of pudding mix, you can use 2 Tablespoons of the dry mix. There is no need to increase the size of the recipe, unless you really wanted to.

Yes, there are small 1 oz and 1.1 oz packages of natural instant pudding mix that can be found online.
