Tosh - Blue Tick Coon Hound and something else

My name is Tosh. Mom is pretty sure I am around four years old but we are guessing cause somehow I ended up at animal control jail.

We celebrate my birthday and mom's birthday the same day because she adopted me as a birthday present for herself. Thank goodness my mom needed a new companion and I came to my forever home.

I love those road kill toys and mom says by the time I am finished with them that is exactly what they look like.

My most favorite summertime treat are the

Frozen Pumpkin Pops from this site. One very cool thing about me is I have one blue eye and one brown eye.

FINALLY, autumn has arrived

Well, what can I say, first mom is busy, busy, busy and THEN the darn heat and humidity comes and all either one of us wants to do is find a nice cool spot! Sure wish we had a balcony so I could have my own pool! I think mom misses the pool too since she would stick her feet in MY pool and tickle my tummy with her toes. I guess we will both survive but now that the heat and humidity has gone away we shall thrive. Mom and I LOVE crunching through the autumn leaves when we walk. I think mom likes stepping on the acorn cause they make a really satisfying pop when you step just right. Our all time favourite is WINTER. Yipee snow , tingly toes and runny nose oh how I LOVE climbing the banks and looking out over my kingdom. Hopefully I will write more soon. We are a couple of busy girls you know. Mom says it is bedtime. Nighters all you guys. Get out there and stomp on some acorns and kick those delightfull lives about.

I am more than a wee bit peeved with my Mom! You may not believe this but she has not had any time to make me treats OR to share my adventures so I guess I am left to my own devices. Minnesota has had some mild weather so I am not expecting any frozen treats but I sure wish I had some peanut butter puppy cookies 8( If Mom doesn't make soon I may head into the kitchen myself. I should tell you though Mom is not totally slacking as we have had some GREAT walks. I love watching th little goslings on the pond. Mom says I cannot play with them though 8( Not fair but I guess they could get hurt. The turkeys on the other hand are quite nasty and I learned pretty fast they are NOT dog lovers. Oh well, we better head to bed now so we are ready, willing and able for some new adventures tomorrow. Toodles for now. Tosh

Love this site! I currently make my dog's Kong toy fillings that we freeze as well as "ice cream" for doggies. It's so much fun to make their treats using healthy ingredients and watching them enjoy eating them.

My main reason for commenting, however, is because I adopted a shelter dog in January (2015) that is a dead ringer for Tosh. Both the markings and the eye color are amazingly similar. Her name is Rosa and when we got her we had no idea what type of dog she was. My brother commented that she looks a lot like a Blue Tick but we were thrown off by the one blue eye, one brown eye color. Like Tosh, she is obviously mixed with "something else". I wish I could upload a photo of her to share. She ALSO loves toys and they certainly look like road kill when she's finished with them. :)

Thank you for such a resourceful and helpful website! I look forward to trying new recipes for my Rosa. :)

New yummy treat and oh so easy

Hey All, Mom and I have found a new yummy and oh so easy treat here in the Dog Treat Kitchen. It is called Chicken Jerky Dog Treats. When we visit the dog food store I always get drooling over the chicken jerky treats but Mom is way particular about what we get and she worries about the quality of the chicken. Whelp, long story short, Mom got a good deal on chicken breasts and so she got extra so she could make this recipe for me. I almost jumped flips for this treat! You can't go wrong with them AND they could not get much easier.

Oh this dog is so adorable and i really like this share. I feel as if it speaks to me. It's a rare pet it just got a blue eye. Such a unique one from other dogs. This hound looks beautiful.

It's so wonderful to see Tosh so comfortable at home! The frozen pumpkin pops look good enough for humans to eat! Only wish Bandit could eat something like this, but due to his special diet he's very limited to what he can eat. All you wonderful dogs out there get your "Mom &/or Dad" to make this for you. Enjoy! :)
